Travel Policies
Documents Required For Travel:

Bahamian passengers must be in possession of a valid government issued photo ID or
passport.

Non-Bahamian Passengers must be in possession of a valid passport issued by their
home country.


Check-in/ Late Arrival of Passengers

Pineapple Air may cancel a passenger’s reservation and denied boarding compensation will
not be applicable if he/ she fails to present him/her self for check-in and issuance of a
boarding pass at the check-in counter at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.


Tickets

All tickets purchased are non-refundable and are valid for one (1) year.

Changing the name or travel date of a ticket:

All changes on a ticket must be made within 48 hours of purchase. Additional Charges will
apply.
In the case of delay or cancellation of a connecting flight due to weather, passengers will be
placed on our next available flight. Tickets will remain non-refundable


Baggage

Checked Baggage:

Each passenger is allowed to check-in up to two pieces of checked baggage free of charge.
The total weight of both pieces should not exceed 44lbs and dimension of 62 inches. Size is
the total outside dimension: length + width + height. All baggage and boxes must be suitably
packed. Aircraft capacity is subject to operational requirements that may limit the amount of
available cargo space. Extra charges apply to items that exceed size and weight limitations
or are in excess of the free allowance. Excess baggage allowances and charges may vary
according to item type. Please contact Pineapple Air for specifics.


Carry-On Baggage:

Each passenger may carry on-board the aircraft, without additional charge, any of the
following personal articles: One small article such as a briefcase, small lap-top computer,
purse, day planner, or camera bag. Other items include: a collapsible wheelchair (subject to
space availability on a first come, first served basis), cane, walking stick and / or crutches
and / or braces or prosthetic devices on the same flight with the passenger dependent on
the device. A collapsible stroller, diaper bag or government approved car seat is also
permitted. When not in use, the child seat must be stowed in an approved storage space.


Dangerous Goods:

For your protection, dangerous goods are not permitted on-board Pineapple Air aircraft.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, explosives, compressed gasses, flammable
liquids and solids, oxidizers, toxic or infectious substances, corrosives and radioactive
material.


Notice of Baggage Liability

Liability of loss, delay, or damage to baggage is limited unless a higher valuation is declared
in advance and additional charges are paid. Pineapple Air assumes no liability for fragile,
valuable, or perishable articles. Further information may be obtained from the carrier.


Pineapple Air assumes no liability for:

Articles that are not allowed past the security checkpoint (including, but not limited to,
knives, folding or retractible blades, box cutters, metal nail files, scissors, straight razors, or
corkscrews). Pineapple Air is not responsible for returning confiscated articles to the
customer. Items packed in boxes are checked as baggage.


Notice – Overbooking of Flights

Airline may be overbooked, and there is a slight chance that a seat may not be available on
a flight for which a person has a confirmed ticket. If a flight is overbooked, no one will be
denied a seat until airlines personnel first asks for volunteers willing to give up their seat in
exchange for payment of the airline’s choosing. If there are not enough volunteers, the
airline will deny boarding to other persons in accordance with its particular boarding priority.
With few exceptions, persons denied boarding involuntarily is entitled to compensation.
Passengers


Notice - Cancellation of Flights

Passengers holding confirmed tickets for a cancelled flight will be dealt with on an individual
basis. If possible, passengers will be transferred to another carrier and booked on the next
available flight. Passengers not able to be transferred to another carrier will be re-booked
on the next available flight or receive limited compensation according to their unique
situation.
